My favorite bands are the ones that carry the flame. By flame I mean tradition and all its glory. Certain musical styles are infinite or in a constant state of spreading their power all over the universe. Brit Rock is one of those legacies and few bands these days have taken up the torch.
Two Harbors are proudly carrying that flame in a massive torch held by a colossus! Even better, they are from my home state of Minnesota which puts my pride in this outfit at dragon level.
Their latest effort is called Can't Shake This Dream and it's every single bit of the awesomeness that is Brit Rock.

A recent live show really brought the power of this one out for me...what a message!
Speaking of messages, the best track on the album is the title track. It's relentless optimism is immediately infectious. We need the spirit of "Can't Shake This Dream" loosed upon the world and spreading everywhere!!
"Can't Shake This Dream" is a clear contender for best track of 2025 and it's so much more than just that. This band hung together through some tough times since their last album (2014). Over the course of the last eleven years, they never gave up on the dream of making this record and their perseverance is a rock solid testament to their commitment to not only the genre but the musical universe.
Much gratitude to Two Harbors for being our heroes in music and beyond...
