Stereophonics: Make 'em Laugh, Make 'em Cry, Make 'em Wait (Album of the Week)

Cwmaman's own Stereophonics are one of my favorite bands of all time. In many ways, they are the perfect rock band. Their front man, Kelly Jones, has all the right ingredients for a rock and roll voice. Sex, drink, smoke, rasp, and husky cadence are all present. It's an explosive combination that produces amazing results album after album.

Their latest is called Make 'em Laugh, Make 'em Cry, Make 'em Wait and it opens with an inspirational number.

Later we get the "hit"

And then we get that BOSS, DRAGON LEVEL song that shows how much ass the 'phonics kick!

The other track that I must mention is "Mary Is A Singer." Classic Stereophonics with a most lustrous selection of instrumentation.

This is a contender for record of the year. It's that fucking good! Start listening!!!

Kelly Jones: Inevitable Incredible

Kelly Jones has a new solo record out called Inevitable Incredible and it's wonderful to see this artist's truest expression of himself. His recent foray into filmmaking has inspired his music to be more cinematic. Honestly, I feel like I'm watching a movie when I listen to this album.

Track #3 of 2022: Hanging On your Hinges by Stereophonics

The opening track to the latest Stereophonics record is a banger with a capital B! That's why it's my choice at number three in 2022!!

Nice to the Cwmaman lads back to form..

Stereophonics: Oochya (Album of the Week)

One of my favorite bands in the world just released a completely amazing record. Cwmaman's own Stereophonics are back with Oochya!

This is the band's 12th record and it honestly sounds like a perfect summation of all of their sounds and styles. The album opens up with the heavy-sounding "Hanging On Your Hinges."

Then we slide majestically into a resurrected B side from 2008, "Forever."

The Stones tinged "Seen That Look Before" is dreamy

This album connects to old and new fans alike. Go buy it and enjoy one of the few bands left who sound like music used to sound...

Track #19 of 2019: Fly Like An Eagle by Stereophonics

The Welsh institution and musical juggernaut known as Stereoponics released a wonderful new track this year called "Fly Like An Eagle." Made for the downtrodden everywhere, this tune is guaranteed to lift you up and make you believe that you can achieve anything!

Stereophonics: Fly Like An Eagle (Track of the Week)

Cwmaman's own Stereophonics are one of my favorite bands of all time. Easily in the Top Ten. Their latest effort, Kind, is the first installment of their fourth trilogy and their eleventh full length. The second track is my pick for the week and no, it's not a Steve Miller cover. Instead, we have an uplifting, spiritual number that ranks among the lads' finest.

Check it out!
