It's quite nice to see Ryan Adams back with his old band The Cardinals. The noughties so some truly amazing music from this outfit and now those ol' chestnuts are being showcased on a new live album.
The songs sound fresh and electric on this record. Ryan and the lads are truly having a good time playing and it shows.
My love for Caterton's own Willie J. Healy continues to grow with his third release, Bunny. He continues to capture that early to mid-70s vibe with aplomb.
He's added some more funk this time around which is most welcome.
Indie folk darling Becca Mancari has a fab new record out called Left Hand. The State Island native has crafted twelve tracks of pure ethereal delight. She has managed to find that perfect balance between folk music and spacey alternative pop.
Here is one of my faves...
Sometimes you just need some solid country. Thankfully, Tahlequah, Oklahoma's own Turnpike Troubadours have just released their sixth record and it's amazing. A Cat In The Rain has all the red dirt any person could need.
Here is one of my faves...
The power and thunder that is Cleveland, Ohio's hardest rocking band is back with The Algorithm. Filter just brings the heavy and the awesome with each new release. This latest record sees them being even more introspective and self-actualized.

Psychedelic pop fans will be quite happy with the latest release from Holy Wave, proud sons of El Paso, Texas. Five of Cups is truly an amazing record filled with colours you can hear and sounds you can see.
Here is a taste of the awesomeness...
The pride of Dundee, Scotland is back with their sixth offering, Exorcism of Youth. The View has always been one of those great British bands that sort of has flown under the radar stateside but does quite well in the Holy Land. It's multi-layered pop at its finest.
Here is the title track...
Shipley's own Laura Groves has a fab album out called Radio Red. It's pure mellow gold with all the bells and whistles of 70s soft rock. It puts me in a very introspective and spacy mood.
Here's what I mean...
It's rainy and cold today in the North Woods and that means autumn is just around the corner. The latest offering from Boulder's own Gregory Alan Isakov is a perfect soundtrack. Appaloosa Bones weaves some amazing tales the human condition on this planet, all with the requisite echo-y piano and guitar.
The opening track is aptly titled!
LA's own Mapeche has a delightful new record out called Swinging Stars. It's a pitch perfect blend of California breeze and folk rock. You can feel the sun and the ocean was over you as you listen.

North Londoners Girl Ray has their third record out now and it is fab! Prestige makes 1977 come alive all over again
All we need is a mirrorball...
Ah, the joy of indie drone. It's a warm feeling rooted in emo and memories of the 1990's. Margaret Glaspy captures this energy perfectly on her latest record, Echo The Diamond. The NYC native has captured the various essence of this style.
The leaves are sadly starting to fall here in the North Woods so I figured we could start my Autumn Music series a little early with RVG's latest offering, Brain Worms. This is the Melbourne outfit's third offering of most excellent ethereal pop. Love those echo-y guitars!

After a series of amazing singles and EPs, Alaska Reid has finally released her first long player. Disenchanter weaves amazing tales of friendship, fads, and, of course, love...all done with the typical indie aplomb we hear in this genre. The Montana native's star is clearly on the rise!
