Ryan Adams: Alive Volume 1

It's quite nice to see Ryan Adams back with his old band The Cardinals. The noughties so some truly amazing music from this outfit and now those ol' chestnuts are being showcased on a new live album.

The songs sound fresh and electric on this record. Ryan and the lads are truly having a good time playing and it shows.

Willie J. Healey: Bunny (Album of the Week)

My love for Caterton's own Willie J. Healy continues to grow with his third release, Bunny. He continues to capture that early to mid-70s vibe with aplomb.

He's added some more funk this time around which is most welcome.

And we should be thanking him for tracks like this!

This record should be played constantly at home and at work!

Filter: The Algorithm

The power and thunder that is Cleveland, Ohio's hardest rocking band is back with The Algorithm. Filter just brings the heavy and the awesome with each new release. This latest record sees them being even more introspective and self-actualized.

The View: Exorcism of Youth (Album of the Week)

The pride of Dundee, Scotland is back with their sixth offering, Exorcism of Youth. The View has always been one of those great British bands that sort of has flown under the radar stateside but does quite well in the Holy Land. It's multi-layered pop at its finest.

Laura Groves: Radio Red

Shipley's own Laura Groves has a fab album out called Radio Red. It's pure mellow gold with all the bells and whistles of 70s soft rock. It puts me in a very introspective and spacy mood.

Here's what I mean...

Gregory Alan Isakov: Appaloosa Bones

It's rainy and cold today in the North Woods and that means autumn is just around the corner. The latest offering from Boulder's own Gregory Alan Isakov is a perfect soundtrack. Appaloosa Bones weaves some amazing tales the human condition on this planet, all with the requisite echo-y piano and guitar.

The opening track is aptly titled!
